Who we are

Contract Ladder is a trading name of Tactics Automation Limited (company no. 16356318), First Floor Willow House, Kingswood Business Park, Holyhead Road, South Staffordshire, WV7 3AU. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: luke@contractladder.co.uk.

What we collect

Business contact details: names, work email addresses and phone numbers of people at businesses we work with or contact.
What you send us: emails, tender documents, and documents about your business (insurance certificates, policies, past projects) so we can provide our services.
Public information: published tender notices, contract awards and planning decisions, and publicly listed business contact details.

Our website doesn't use cookies. We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or fingerprinting and doesn't track individual visitors. It shows us totals, such as how many people viewed a page and which site sent them.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To provide our services (Tender Radar, summaries, bid writing): to perform our contract with you, or to take steps you ask for before one.
To tell businesses about relevant contracts and our services: our legitimate interest in promoting our business to other businesses. Every email lets you opt out, and we stop as soon as you ask.
To keep business records such as invoices: legal obligation.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal data. We use trusted service providers to run the business, including email and document storage (Google Workspace), payments (Stripe and Sage), website hosting (GitHub), visit counting (Cloudflare) and AI tools that help us research and draft. They process data only on our instructions. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Client documents: for as long as you're a client, then up to 2 years unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Invoices and financial records: 6 years. Marketing contact details: until you opt out, or 2 years without any reply.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or stop marketing emails at any time. Email luke@contractladder.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
