About Contract Ladder

Built by a contractor. For contractors.

I'm Luke Martinson. I run a small contracting business in Nottingham, so I know this side of the fence.

My own firm, TA Thermal, installs and maintains industrial trace heating. To get on the approved lists of utilities and big industrial clients, I went through the supplier vetting myself: the questionnaires, the policies, the evidence, the portals. It's slow, it's confusing, and none of it has anything to do with how good you are at the job.

That's what stops good local firms winning public work. Not the work itself. The paperwork around it. So most small firms either give up on council contracts or end up subcontracting to the big names at the big names' rates.

Contract Ladder fixes the paperwork. We watch every public notice in the areas we cover, tell you straight which ones are worth your time, and write the bid from your own evidence. You check it, you submit it, you win the work.

How we work

Four promises

Only the truth

We write only what's true about your firm, from your own documents. No invented jobs, certificates or figures.

A straight answer

If a tender isn't worth your time, we'll say so, even when it means we don't get paid.

You stay in control

You read every word and press submit. The bid is yours and so is the contract.

Open about how

We use AI tools to research and draft, and we check everything before it reaches you. If a buyer asks, you can say so with confidence.
